Entering the 21st century, societal attention has moved from economically efficient development to environmentally conscious sustainable development. The 20th century was the age of dualism between nature and humans, but in the 21st century, harmonization with nature will be the focus. As resources and energies are limited, economic policies and programs based on material consumption are also limited. Following the Rio Declaration in 1992, the Basic Environment Law was established in Japan. After this, the Basic Law for Establishing the Recycling-based Society and seven related laws were adopted in May 2000, and waste reduction has been legally regulated in Japan.
As a company specializing in disaster prevention and environmental risk management, Mikuniya accepts its responsibility to promote a recycling-oriented society. It is time for us to use limited resources and energies sustainably. In the age of global resource depletion, we will strive to meet the needs of our customers through consultations focusing on engineering as well as through surveys, analysis and evaluations. For Mikuniya, engineering means constructing systems that efficiently integrate human resources, materials and facilities/equipment. Our challenge is to provide services from design to maintenance based on the concept of system optimization.
We also aim to make environmentally-conscious proposals amid the great changes in the social environment, including a falling birth rate and an aging population, globalization, and growth of advanced information technologies.
Engineering For Mikuniya, engineering is to construct systems using human resources, materials and facilities/equipment. We are challenged to provide services from designing to maintenance based on the concept of system optimization.
